TO KEEP IT FROM BREAKING

I found this in Santa Monica on Saturday afternoon. The blue tape X's are almost identical to the composition and process used in this painting. I imagine the tape was placed there either to keep the glass from shattering if it were to break, or to mark the fact that nothing is in the case. Its interesting either way.
